„Your Disco Needs You“ (Kylie Minogue)
The Disco Boys – DJs for life
The party started in the mid-1970s when DJs began to celebrate music rather than playing track after track. The party crowds again celebrated their heros in long party nights. People like Larry Levan, Frankie Knuckles and Steve Silk Hurley began to mix tracks on two turntables and by doing this they were creating new sounds, achieved never heard of suspense on the dancefloor and made people scream – they would drive them into ecstasy. The days of simply playing track after track were gone. Clubs like Paradise Garage, Loft or Warehouse became legends – and Disco became House.
The Disco Boys stand in this tradition. In 1995 they were amongst the first DJs in Germany to mix original Disco vinyl records with uptodate House Music. Nowadays they play highly celebrated gigs every weekend, in Germany, Switzerland and Ibiza. The best indicator for a rolling party is the dancefloor, if it’s not buzzing the Disco Boys are not happy.
But it doesn’t take much for them to make the crowds go mad. They never stand still behind their Technics 1210 and it is their pure presence, with their original 1970s tailor cut suits, funky specs and stylish hairdos, that makes the girls scream and the guys shout.
They are completely booked out for months in advance, another sign for their undoubted talent to produce good music for the dancefloor. It’s their unique mix of current House Music with House Classics and Disco Sounds of the ’70s and ’80s that makes a night with The Disco Boys a special night out. It’s hot and it’s crazy, if you haven’t seen them, try and catch them at one of their numerous gigs.
