For Yolanda Be Cool juxtaposition is everything; Bow ties and converse. ,Hip hop and techno , animal noises and nightclubs, pretty girls and tattoos…unused hotel rooms! So Yolanda and Dcup aptly describe ‘We No Speak Americano’ as “Party Tech.”
Sylvester Martinez and Johnson Peterson, aka Yolanda Be Cool are rapidly becoming a household name in contemporary clubs. Their tracks have been licensed to compilations such as Fabric 59 and Fake Blood’s Wax On mix compilations and have signed tracks to Herve’s Cheap Thrills label. DJ/ producers ; Solo, Renaissance Man, Round Table Knights, Mastiksoul and Radioclit, the current purveyors of contemporary club sounds midget/mini-house/batty house/ baile tech – call it what you will, are all playing Yolanda Be Cool tracks. As are the main names at uk radio for this current club sounds ; Kissy Sell Out on radio 1 and Sinden on Kiss FM network.

‘We No Speak Americano’ reached no 1 on the overall Beatport charts.
In Australia it’s the most added track at radio ; added across the board on triple j network and the most requested song on triple J too. It’s been no.1 on the club charts for the last six weeks. At the moment it’s no. 5 on the singles sales chart and no.4 on their itunes top 100 songs – the current highest climber. It’s better than that in Spain where the track is currently number 1 on itunes. Similar success is expected in the Netherlands, Germany, Greece and Italy, where it’s signed to the major independent dance labels.
It’s already been requested at ultra commercial venues like BCM in Magaluf so it looks like this is going to be absolutely massive this summer.
